Musical Friday #143

(OMIS - Croatia)

Hello everyone!

These last weeks I've been away from my Blog but that's because I've been busy getting ready for my holidays. The last time I had a proper vacation was last summer when I went to my friends wedding in Portugal, after that has been pretty much work work work :P.

For this vacation we (my boyfriend and I) will be going to Slovakia (where we are at the moment) and after we are going to Croatia.

The first night when we arrived in Slovakia there was a crazy festival of thunders and lightnings to the point that during the night when I was sleeping there was a thunder so strong that woke me up and left me completely disorientated and kinda vibrated the house. It sounded like someone was exploding fireworks inside the house. I've seen some pretty intense lightings and thunders but this one took the cake.

I initially wanted to vlog buuuuut I realize I'm not good with that so I've been using Snapchat more often than ever. In case you wanna follow me there my account is nerak_86. I upload whenever I have wi-fi since we are not using roaming because is a bit expensive.

Other than that I'm looking forwards for the Croatian beaches doing nothing but tan and chill, get some colour on my skin to last me all the way till next year haha.

I will try and take as many photos as I can and if I have enough material I will Blog about like I used to in the past.

Musical Friday #133

 EN: "Better things are coming" is what I've been telling to myself lately so I keep myself sane. 

Right now I'm on "vacation", one hell of a vacation this is. For these last three days I've been at home, why? Well on Wednesday and Thursday the weather was absolutely crap plus there was an underground strike. Yes the buses were still working but for me the Underground is the best thing. And today, when it's actually sort-of sunny I have to stay at home because of the builders that are fixing the walls and ceiling of the house and now the man just told me that he might have to come back on Monday to finish the job.... REALLY! Another day that I have to spend aaallll day at home? You gotta be kidding me. And I guess is also uncertain if next week there will be another strike or not... ooohhh London.

Other than that, there has been a lot of ups and downs in my life, family members passing away others going to the hospital, so far 2014 kindaaaa kinda sucks, yeah it sucks.

EN: So Christmas is around the corner and I found out today that I don't have to work on the 24,25 and 26 woot woot. This year I will spend my Christmas holidays here in London with some family members of mine but away from my Mom and Dad.

As I get older, I become less and less fond of Christmas due to various reasons.

EN: Another week has passed but now I'm finally working. But it's not your typical office, Monday to Friday, 9AM till 5PM type of job. I'm working in a Restaurant so that means crazy shifts and no more proper weekends because those are days that I'll be defiantly working. I've been through this before, back in 2011 I worked in a call-center while I lived in Prague but the differences was that I did a 8/9 hours shift and now most of the times I only work 3 hours per day but I'm not the only one.

Anyways this is just temporary, like my mother would say, I didn't go to University, studied abroad, worked abroad to end up working in restaurant! I have big dreams, I always had big dreams but for now is like Drake's song "started from the bottom now we're here", I had to start somewhere and they are paying, so don't let me words make you think that I'm complaining. I'm very grateful for this job opportunity because in fact, they were the only place that called me for an interview and end up hiring me

EN: Hello Bananas! I few months ago I told you that Rihanna was teaming up with clothe brand River Island to do a collection. And a couple of weeks ago it was the London Fashion Week and the clothes were finally revealed. In my opinion, the clothes are very Rihanna (current) style, the collection seems to be inspired by the 90's underground, very minimalistic style and most clothes are either white, black or grey, with a few colour pieces like yellow ad red and denim blue. 

Below you can see some videos with the Fashion Show. So what do you guys think about the collection? Would you personally buy anything? There are certain pieces that I like, like the cap, the bag, the boots and some of the dresses.

Musical Friday #88

EN: Hello Bananas! Not much to say. I'm at my aunt's house babysitting her grandson, not sure if I'll go back to my house on Saturday or Sunday.

Other than that two of the days that I dislike the most are gone, Carnaval (in Portugal) and Valentine's Days. Pfffff thank God that shiz is over...

Justin Timberlake - Suit & Tie feat. Jay-Z - New Single - You must already have heard that J.T. was back in business, it's been like 6/7 years since his last album and the question on most Media people's mind is, "Will this be a smash hit comeback?". What do you guys think about the song and video? For me the song is growing in me, is like we Portuguese say "Primeiro estranha-se e depois come-se", it's kinda like "At first you're not sure about it and then you eat it". This song would be perfect for Barney of How I Met Your Mother, if you watch the series you know what I'm talking about :D SUIT UP!. I can't wait to listen to the rest of his album.

Styled to Rock with Rihanna!

EN: Have you ever heard of a U.K. T.V. show called Styled to Rock? No? I'll explain then, you know that other T.V. show with Heidi Klum Project Runway right? So Styled to Rock is something similar BUT is not to do normal clothes, the point is to do clothes for perfomers in this case singers, clothes for Live shows! So every episode they will have different artist as their clients from Kanye West, Pixie Lott, Cheryl Cole, Katy Perry etc... and the winner gets to dress Rihanna for a Live performance she did last Summer already. I really enjoyed this T.V. show and I watched all on Youtube, so in case you want to see it I decided to do this post and share with you the links for the videos. :)

PT: Já ouviram falar de um programa chamado Styled to Rock? Não? Então passo a explicar, vocês conhecem aquele outro programa com a Heidi Klum Project Runway certo? Então o Styled to Rock é semelhante mas em vez de fazerem roupa normal eles fazem roupa para espectáculos, cantores, para os concertos ao vivo! Todos os dias eles tem um novo artista como cliente desde Kanye West, Pixie Lott, Cheryl Cole, Katy Perry etc... e quem ganhar a Rihanna vestirá a roupa dele/a num concerto que já aconteceu neste Verão. Eu gostei deste programa, eu vi todos os episódios no Youtube, por isso caso queiram também ver eu decidi fazer este post e partilhar convosco os links para todos os videos. :)

Musical Friday #74

Hello everyone! How was your week?

Nothing new over here other then "that moment when" the cosmetics brands Barry M and Collection (2000) followed me on Twitter ssaayyy uuwwhhhaattt? XD Crazy Bananas. Oh plus a Portuguese DJ that is living in Holland but that was on Tumblr, wicked.

Is starting to get really cold - no sh*t Karen - specially at night and you know what's bad? I don't have much winter clothes with me :/. Why? Because I left most of my winter clothe in London hoping that by now I would be there already rsrsrsrs. Oh well maybe early next year I can finally go. At least I have loads of winter jackets over here so is not all terrible.

Tomorrow I will meet up with some of my friends and eat some stuff... 'cause that's what I do when I get together with my friends we eat HAHA.

Lana for H&M and RiRi for River Island

Hello Everyone! The Ladies above need no introduction, but just in case you don´t know them - and if don´t... where have you been? - on the left is singer Lana Del Rey and on the right also singer and I guess sort of an actress Rihanna.

And soon this is what is going to happen... no they are not getting together and do a duet - not that I know of - but each of them are getting to together with a clothes brand. This Tuesday was announced that Lana Del Rey will be the new face of Swedish brand H&M for this year´s Fall campaign. Now I don´t know if she will be just the face or also has some input on the clothes design. But apparently on the 19th of September it will be released a video commercial with Lana singing a famous song "Blue Velvet", a request made by H&M.

Now as for Rihanna, this one opposite to Lana's announcement, I haven´t seen many people talking about it, maybe because River Island (a U.K. brand), even though is sold Internationally, with cool kinda expensive clothes, still is not has BIG has H&M. Anyways yeah, on Monday was announced that Rihanna will collaborate with River Island for 2013 Spring Collection. And apparently Rihanna was the one that approach River Island, read the news HERE. Now I wouldn't imagine Rihanna with River Island, I think that Rihanna would be a better match with TOPSHOP, but never the less I´m excited to see what is she going to do!

Musical Friday #55

Hello everyone! Did you missed me? No? Huummm okei >.< lol.

I´m Happy that I took this week off Blogging, it turned out this week was a bit of a hell! Monday started with a massive left foot, and some problems on the Overground, in which I had to catch one train and then change to another to continue my journey, then the same thing happened on my way back home -_-, then on Tuesday OH MY DAYS.... it took me 2 hours to get to work - normally taked me 40 to 50 minutes - again some problems on the Overground JESUS! Then on Wednesday my boyfriend tells me that his car was "mugged", actually it was his mothers car. He left for 2 minutes to check something, the people broke two windows and robbed a bag that he had under a sit with his Table and two mobile phones -_- ooohhh boy. Thursday I stayed at home... that time of the month for me, hate it, just hate it... and now Friday I´m completely tired just wanna go to bed.

Not sure what I´m going to do this weekend, but I wanted to see the Christian Louboutin Exhibition, but I haZ no company to go with :/. And I have reached my last week in London, but I really hope hat I can come back and get a job of some sort over here.

Musical Friday #49

Hello everyone, how was your week? Mine… nooothing special for real… nothing…

This week I felt kinda down, I don´t know if it because I haven´t spoken much with my bf this week because he has been super busy with work, or the fact that we haven´t video chat for a loooong time now.  It could also be this stupid crappy grey weather in London, IT´S MAY FOR GOD´S SAKE! Also my acne isn´t helping me, this has been going on since October, I never had acne likes this before, most of the times is painful :S. Or maybe the fact that I gain FREAKING two/three kilos! *fffffuuuuuuuuuu* Since the last time I lost weight in 2008 due to a crappy break up, I lost about 5 kilos in 2 weeks, and since then I never gain my weight back, plus the fact that I was 2 times abroad and I’m lazy when it comes cooking so I was always “thin”. But now here in London, since I´m leaving with Family members, somehow -_- I gain weight… I think it was the jealousy of other girls -_- always commenting the fact that I hate Subways and Burgers and Pizza and never gain weight – it was true for a long time – but now pppfff… jealousy is a bitch! Lol I started noticing something wrong because some of my jjjeeeaannnsss didn´t close right… and then also my bra area bothered me a lot! And then last weekend I weight myself BAM 54 kilos. For a girl that is 1,60m and age 26, is not too bad… but…. I just don´t wanna spend money in new jeans -_- BAH… So I have to sort of change my diet, and try to do some exercise… which is NOT my forte! I haven´t worked out since I left High School… in… 2005… I only “work out” when I go clubbing and dance for hours, but that hasn´t happened much here in London… because is so ffffreaking expensive -_-‘,

Plus my internship is coming to an end (ends of June) and I have to start thinking what the FUCK I wanna do with my life. What job I wanna do… where I wanna live…

AAAAHHHHH… My dream job, I found out that is hard to get, even harder than I thought it was… the acting stuff. People won´t hire you if you don´t have an Agency, and Agencies won´t register you because you don´t have much (experience) to show them… unless you probably came out of drama school or something… oohhh live!

Here´s some songs that helped me cheer up this week. I will continue to was my X-Men DVD’s… BIG FAN! X

Rihanna - Where Have You Been – New Single – OMG I love this new single + video of Rihanna. I already enjoyed the song because of the beat and now the video with a sort of African pseudo-tribal dancing going on, it´s good to see her dance again in a video, because most of the times you see her solo dancing shaking her booty and stuff. My favourite detail is at 1:54 when all the girls come together and make a eye shape with their arms, and then they “blink” ;). Plus on that scene her hair reminds me of one of Whitney Houston´s hairstyle from like the 80’s.

So quick post, the bags are almost packed, but I might have to change a few things.... and right now I'm going crazy looking for my black pijamas... wtf? My house is not that big, how can they dissapear!?!? -_-

Since my flight is so early in the morning, I guess I'm gonna end up sleeping liiikkeeee 2/3 hours >.< no problem, I can sleep in the airplane, smooooooth.

Don't know when I will be able to post, but hopefully soon, I have so much stuff to Blog about.

Musical Friday #22

 Hello everyone, how was your week? Mine was like this...

So I had to go back to my Optician and complain about my glasses, that the service was awful, the lens was not 100% correctly placed, the technician decided - God knows why - to cut off the length of two of the screws, when I put the glasses on my face they didn't stay right... argh. Anyways, now luckily I still have with me, my previous pair of glasses, so I'm using them while my other glasses are at the Optician in order to fixe them... let's pray that this time around they do it right. 

Another situation, is my internship in Prague for next year, right now there's a misunderstanding going on between my Faculty and the Company that I was suppose to go (which is the same that I went this year in Prague). So basically now I am waiting to see if I'm still going to Prague or not.... -_-
Aaaaaand oh yeah, I cut my hair >.< I much needed cut, since the lat time I cut it, was before I went to Mozambique last year.... in December, and after these 9 months in Prague, of relaxing my hair, dying my hair, blow drying plus passing the straightener... you can imagine the damage right? :/ I didn't trust the hairdressers in Prague plus they were very expensive... but more about my hair later on...

Hello everyone! First of all, what do you thing about the new layout?

I admit is not 100% new. A while back, I had this white backround, with that little girly doll and some different letters, as the banner. But this time I decided to give the white backround a chance again (even though loads of Blogs have it), and changed the banner a bit. So the letters are different, and I cut the dolls head open, and had some stuff flying out of her head... She's opening her mind... get it? o_O

Let me know if you like or not, I know is not some DRAAAAStic changes, but I'm also not an expert with this things.

Hello y'all. I was your week?  Mine was something like, coming back from Barcelona and literally straight to work, till 11pm on Tuesday -_-. And today I had a 6am shift, *double -_-*. I'm so dead. And the worst part was, the night before, there was still some construction shenanigans going on outside.... AT MIDNIGHT! can you believe that? I basically just sleep 4 hours, since I had to wake up at 5am to get ready to work....
