Goodbye Seven Sisters and Hello Streatham Hill

For the last nine months I've been living in Seven Sister (North-East London) with some family members of mine. It got to a point that because of my job that if I lost my last train home it would probably take me like 2 hours to go home by bus, maybe two or three of them even and I didn't fancy that. So afters looking for a place for a few months I finally found a bedroom. I'm now living in the South and the good thing about this area is that if I do miss the train, I have a bus that go straight to my area. It has been a week since I've moved in and most of the unpacking is done. Things have been slow due to a lack of free time, so I do things bit by bit. But so far I'm enjoying living there, let's see when the rest of the house mates move in, it will still be fun.

Dream House #18

EN: Now that I finally have a job and I already spent some money buying essentials that I needed the next step is to start gathering money so that I can rent my own bedroom.
Now in case you don't know, London is a massive city and there are good areas and bad areas. Where I currently live has a bit of a bad reputation and the only reason that I'm here and feel "kinda safe" is because I'm living with some family members of mine other than that I don't think I would be living here unless I had no choice. Which brings me to the next part, since there are good and bad areas, of course the good areas are going to be more expensive, so I want to try and find a good size bedroom, in a decent area not to far away from the city center, at a affordable price, is that to much to ask? It actually kinda of is haha.
Because unless you earn a lot of money and you want to live let's say till zone 3 (London is divided by zones) plus the requirements that I stated before it can be very hard. So I either ended up living in a good area, inside zone 3, pay less for public transports and have a shitty room OR I live far away from the city center, have a good room but then pay a lot for the public transports -_-  aaahhhh dilemmas dilemmas!
So the search begins!

Dream House #11

EN: Hello Bananas! Today's Dream House post is about bedrooms again. I did a post about this more than a year ago [here], where I talked about the type of bedroom that would like to have for my bedroom at my parents house. Although I'm an adult now and hopefully I would be able to move out of parents house forever I would still like to decorate my bedroom the way that shared with you on that last post (sort off Japanese inspired and black and white with maybe a bit of red or purple).
Anyways the photos on this post today are not Japanese inspired, but most of them have something in common, big windows, neutral/soft colours and a bit minimalistic.
Where I live with my parents, my bedroom has to be a bit of a bedroom+office space, which can be a bit of a mess. So in a perfect world, I wish to maintain my bedroom as simple as possible and for one purpose only sleeping (aaaaand other stuff -_- but we don't need to talk about that lol) and when I say as simple as possible it means not even a wardrobe inside or a vanity table, those things would be in a different room, a walking closet if you wish, but like I said before, his would be in a perfect world.

Dream House #3

I have done one of these - Dream House segments - in a while.
Last week I woke up one day with the idea "That's it! I want my bedroom Black and White! MUAHAHAHAHA". Me bedroom has always been a mix - and not the good kind - of white furniture and "cherry" wood as they call it. It started when we moved in to this flat, we had already had a wardrobe, big and white, then my parents bought me a new bed also in white, and then we had let's call it a home made "bookcase" that was painted in white. A few years later my mom bought my first computer, so we bought a desk, we couldn't find a white one that had all the things that I need it, so we end up buying one in the colour cherry wood, then the "bookcase" became too small, so we bought a new one also in cherry wood. Then came the curtains.... a few years back I was having this Holland phase, I was into Kane - a Dutch rock band - and the Dutch football team , so those are the colours of my curtains, one orange in the middle and two dark blue ones on each side aaaaannd now I'M tired of them -_-.
In the mean time I had other changes in my bedroom and now most of the furniture is white, but I still have the cherry wood desk. So I shared the black and white idea with my mom, and first she was like "OI?", we talked, and then she suggested like a Japanese inspired room - still with the black and white - and I was like "RIGHT ON MOM!".
Below you will see some pictures that I collected from Google. The first set is Japanese inspired. Now the thing with Japanese bedroom - and attention I'm no expert - they seem to be very minimalistic and basic, like the main purpose of a bedroom is to? Sleep. And what do I need in order to sleep? A bed. And that´s it... well not necessarily, but you get the idea. I can't not transform completely my bedroom, but two things that will be changed hopefully in the future, will be my bed, change the couples bed, that takes so much space, in to one of those body and a half beds, with a drawer underneath with another bed in case someone comes over, aaaand my desk. And since I have STUFF (lol) I can not have my bedroom just with my bed in it.

Dream House #1

Lately (maybe due to the fact that I'm home alone at the moment), I've been dreaming about my dream house, if I ever will be able to have my own place, and how would I decorate it? I like a dozen of styles at the same time, and not all of them go together. I like simple modern style, wooden houses, Victorian, Japanese, Indian, Latin American, African inspired uuuffff ... which one to pick?
From now on, every now and then I will post (if you don't mind :p) a few random pics of houses and room devisions that I like.
Hope you enjoy it.
