Musical Friday #82

EN: Hello Bananas! I hope you don't mind calling Bananas, I don't mean it as an insult, it is actually out of love :P. I like the word Bananas. I was thinking of a word that I could call my followers, some Bloggers call they followers "Diamonds", "Lovelies" or "Sprinklerinos" etc and I wanted my "own" nickname for you all >.<.

How is been your first week of the new year so far? Mine.. meeeehh. But at least I've been keeping up with my new year's resolution, slowly but I have. Like they say "Baby steps". You can read all about it over [here]. I decided to start writing on a notebook my progress and let's see if there is in fact any progress, God I hope so. 

Oh and I reached 380 followers, wow THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hello everyone!

Yeah I missed my traditional Musical Friday post yesterday, my bad. I didn't programed my day very well. I woke up very late (like always) and later on in the day I was going to Akuma Kanji's house, so I just got up, tidy the house, showered, put my clothes on and makeup on and I was out of the house lol.

So I spent the rest of the day with her her sister and her boyfriend, we had dinner, saw a Harry Potter movie and so on.

So how was your Christmas? Mine was... just was. It was O.K. I guess. On Christmas Eve I was just with my parents and then on Christmas Day we had a family gathering lunch.

Other than that, regarding my Musical Friday posts, last year I did a massive post with all of my favourite songs that I posts during the year. This year I will do something different. I will post new songs/videos and then at the end of the post I will do a list of my favourite songs of the year 2012 that I posted. Is that alright?

This is not my last post of the year I have at least another post to go up and it's about my New Years Resolution, hopefully you guys will enjoy it.

Where are you going to spend the New Years Eve? For the first time in like 5 years or something I'm going to spend it with my parents, boring I know but there is no money for more. Or well, hopefully next year it will be better.

EN: Hello everyone! Not much to say other than, remember that problem that I had with the store Loja Pó de Arroz, that I order a couple of things back in August and me and other costumer did not receive our stuff? Well finally CASE CLOSED! No I didn't get my stuff but at least they payed me back, so at least that. One day I will do a better post telling all the details of my case (and other girls) if you want.

I have two videos to upload to  my Youtube channel, what do you prefer to watch first, a video about E.L.F. or The Body Shop products?

Não há muito para contar apenas, lembram-se daquele meu problema com a Loja Pó de Arroz, que eu encomendei alguns artigos em Agosto e eu mais alguns clientes não recebemos as nossas coisas? Bem CASO ENCERRADO! Não, não recebi as minhas coisas mas ao menos devolveram o meu dinheiro. Se quiserem um dia faço um post mais detalhado sobre o que aconteceu.

Hello everyone!

Can you believe that tomorrow is the 1st of December? And then before you know it BAM we are in 2013. Jesus time is flying way to much freaking fast or my taste.

There is not much to tell you about right now I have a massive headache because I got irritated/over stressed about something and now I feeling like someone punched me on the head -_-...

Other than that yesterday I manged to film 3 videos... but I might have to re-record one of them because I forgot to include something baahh.... Do you guys have any video requests? I'm open to suggestions?

Musical Friday #75

Hello Everyone!

Well this week I started off with a left foot, kinda. On Monday I went out in the town with my mate bought some beauty products and the BAM the next day I started to feel sick oohhh snap. This was a terrible timing because yesterday (Thursday) I was going to do a oral presentation at my University and I was scared that I wouldn't get better till then. But luckily I did, "God bless the drugs" lolz.

The presentation went great, I don't think I ever had a presentation that it went so well, smooth and like "I got this shiz DOMINATED" like this one. So basically my presentation was about the internship that I did while I was in London for 6 months this year. I had to talk about, what is the company all about, what were my tasks the good and the bad very general stuff, also I couldn't go to much in detail because I signed a "Silent Agreement" with the Company. 

I had to do a Power Point presentation and truth be told I did my Power Point slides whateva on Wednesday, OMG OLD HABITS DIE HARD! You would think that after spending about 18 years of my life in school I should have known better, don't leave things to the last minute.... but it's aalll good :P. I finished all in one afternoon till evening, it was pretty basic, because currently I'm working with a Windows XP and from experience, the Power Points that I do at home always end up different when I use a computer at University, it changes the letters, doesn't do certain effects and on and on.

I don't know how long it took me to do the presentation, it was suppose to be 15 minutes but I'm guessing I did like 20 minutes maybe. And my Coordinator Teacher and the other ladies liked so it's aalll goooddd. 

When I left the place I felt like "Yes Baby" over there in the pictures above HAHA.

Hello everyone! How was your week?

Nothing new over here other then "that moment when" the cosmetics brands Barry M and Collection (2000) followed me on Twitter ssaayyy uuwwhhhaattt? XD Crazy Bananas. Oh plus a Portuguese DJ that is living in Holland but that was on Tumblr, wicked.

Is starting to get really cold - no sh*t Karen - specially at night and you know what's bad? I don't have much winter clothes with me :/. Why? Because I left most of my winter clothe in London hoping that by now I would be there already rsrsrsrs. Oh well maybe early next year I can finally go. At least I have loads of winter jackets over here so is not all terrible.

Tomorrow I will meet up with some of my friends and eat some stuff... 'cause that's what I do when I get together with my friends we eat HAHA.

Hello everyone. So what do you know, it's November! Wow.

Before November came along, on the 31st of October has you know it was Halloween and like I mentioned before, I went to Akuma Kanji's house and helped prepare the food and her boyfriend carved a pumpkin for me :D, put some makeup on, dressed in dark clothes and we ate... a lot >.< and we watch some movies.

Other than that nothing new, still waiting or MY FREAKING PACKAGE FROM PÓ DE ARROZ -_- [to know what am I talking about please read here] and now I have to do a bloody Power Point presentation for an Oral presentation that I have to do because of the internship that I've done while I was in London early this year *sigh*...

Oh funny thing happened last week, so basically there is an American Youtuber named Tyler Oakley and he did one of those live chats on the Internet, blah blah blah, then Tyler and his friend saw a Tweet from Lindsay Lohan talking about the Hurricane Sandy and they guys told us to tweet Lindsay to join the chat, so probably she got hundreds of Tweets about it and she did end up joining us! Well sort of, so she would be watching the Live chat like the rest of us and the boys asked her questions and Lindsay replied by Tweeting on Twitter. This went on for almost 2 hours I think, Lindsay even followed the boys on Twitter it was so cool! Oh and we ended up trending on Twitter #Hurricane Sassy! haha For more info check out these two videos, this one is from E!News and if you notice the Top comment it's mine and also there is this one from WhatTheBuckShow.

Musical Friday #71

Hello everyone! How was your week?

Mine was alright yesterday I went to a clinic to do an X-Ray because of my occasional painful wrist, quickest things ever, in like 10 minutes I was done! Got in, presented myself, after like barely four minutes of waiting I went to another place, waited another two minutes I went in did the X-Ray and I was good to go.

Other than that do you know that other subject that I talked to you about last Friday? [here] Well there has been some updates... two days later I received an email it didn't feel like a personal email like replying to my previous emails, it felt like a general email to warn people what happened, so long story shorts I guess there was some technological issues and another girl told me that the owner of the website has been sick... okay... I'm human, I have a heart, and I understand that people go through some hard times... but was it really necessary to wait a month and a half for this information? Then on Monday I got an email warning me that my package has been expedited... and now this is another sucky detail, even though it has been a month and a half that I've been waiting for much package I probably still have to wait the 10 to 30 days for the delivery -_- *sigh*, when I say me, I say every other client in the same situation. Not I just pray that I FINALLY get my stuff and that the post people don't F it up.

OH and yeaaahh I created a Tumblr page >.<. I known Tumblr for years now, but I never quite got it what was the purpose of it. Since I follow a lot of Youtubers some of them have Tumblrs, so I started checking out their pages and I decided in order to keep up with their pages it was best to create my own. And so I did. So far what I can say about Tumblr (in my opinion) is a fusion of Blogger+Pinterest in a away. I think Tumblr is best described a place where people share photos, GIFs and quotes. I'm quite enjoy it. Is there any Tumblrs out there? If yes join me :). My page is ku-openingmymind (can you believe that just OpeningMyMind was taken? -_- so that's why I had to put the KU (my name's initials) on the front).

 EN: Hello everyone there is not much to say about this week, so I will take this opportunity to give you a warning. As you know my Blog is affiliated to 3 shops - you can see them on the right side bar - Caxuxa, Pó de Arroz and The Original Skin. My problems and concerns lie on the shop Pó de Arroz. 

I've been partners with them for a few month and by the end of the August I decided to do my first purchase with them, I wanted to buy a bunch of stuff but I decided to just select 2 and see how things went... So I selected a bracelet and a ring, did the payment a few days later and they confirmed to me on the same day that they received the money. Okay, cool, fine. Now I know that with National orders we have to wait from 10 to 30 days, it has been 1 month and 2 weeks and still nothing...on my file it says "In process". I have tried to contact the shop now 3 times to get an answer in what is going on? Are they on vacation? Are they having problems with their personal lives? Are they waiting for the items? 

During this week I started noticing other girls complaining about the same situation on their Official Facebook Page. This is not good! Now like I said to another dear fellow Blogger of mine, I might not be the biggest Blogger out there but I don't have to subject myself to this, it's not like I'm earning any money with this, this is "bad publicity" for me and my Blog. And I don't want that. 

So from today I consider my partnership with Pó de Arroz suspended! And the Banner of the shop will be removed and it will continue like that till the day I can receive an answer from the shop in what the hell happened to the items that I payed for. 

I'm very sorry to any inconvenient that you might have had. If there is anyone that is having the same problem, please share there stories in the comment section below.

PT: Olá a todos, não há muito a dizer sobre a minha semana por isso decidi fazer-vos um aviso! Como devem saber o meu Blog está afiliado a três lojas - podem ver na barra da direita - Caxuxa, Pó de Arroz e The Original Skin. Os meus problemas e preocupações são sobre a loja Pó de Arroz.

A minha parceria com a loja já tem alguns mesinhos e no final de Agosto decidi fazer a minha primeira encomenda, eu até queria comprar uma data de coisas mas como eu nunca confio nestas cenas de compras online+correios, decide só escolher duas coisas, uma pulseira e um anel. Fiz o pagamento alguns dias depois e no mesmo dia confirmaram que receberam o pagamento. Okei, fixe, bacano. Agora eu sei que com as encomendas Nacionais devemos esperar entre 10 a 30 dias, já passou 1 mês e 2 semanas e ainda nada. Na minha ficha diz "Em processamento". Eu já tentei entrar em contacto com a loja 3 vezes para receber uma resposta do que se passa. Mas o pessoal está de férias? Problemas nas vidas pessoais? Será que estão à espera dos itens? 

Durante esta semana comecei a notar outras meninas a queixarem-se do mesmo problema na página Oficial do Facebook deles. Isto não é bom! Agora como eu disse a outra Blogger com quem já conversei sobre o assunto, eu posso não ser uma grande Blogger, mas não me vou rebaixar para manter uma parceria só porque sim, eu não ganho nada com isto e para além do mais isto é má publicidade para mim e para o Blog. E eu não quero isso. 

Por isso a partir de hoje a minha parceria com a loja Pó de Arroz ficará suspensa! E o Banner da loja será retirado e continuará assim até ao dia que me derem uma resposta o que é que aconteceu aos itens que eu paguei!

Peço imensas desculpas se tiveram algum inconveniente. Se houver mais alguém que tenham o mesmo problema por favor deixem um comentário em baixo.

Lana Del Rey - Ride - New Single - So Miss Del Rey a few months ago on UK Vogue magazine she says that she wouldn't be releasing any more albums, she doesn't know what else to write about, she already said all she needed to say... ssooooo what's this then? I smell a marketing expert! XD

Lana will release a new album, well sort of, it will includes the songs of the first album "Born to die" plus a few new songs including "Ride" and "Blue Velvet" among others. I really enjoy this song! OH P.S.: the video is freaking long.

Hello everyone, how was your week?

Today is the 5th of the October, which for Portugal means, Independence Day - in a few words it means that in 1910 we stopped being a Monarchic and became a Republic. And we normally have a ceremony and raise the country's flag bla bla bla aaand something happened, has our President rose the flag.... it was upside-down -.- *sigh*. You can see the picture here.

In the Portuguese Bloggers community, during this week the Anna Dello Russo collection for H&M arrived to Portugal, there was like a small event thing in Lisbon at night in order for some Portuguese Bloggers to appear and you know the deal, they take pictures, drink and eat some stuff and sometimes are able to buy things before everybody else.... but apparently things didn't go so well. I read like at least 5 Blogs about this event and all of them in a way said the same... EVERYTHING WAS GONE! I guess by the time some Bloggers arrived to the H&M shop, some of them arrived 10 minutes after the event had started others 20 minutes, and basically everything was gone, there were other people there and they bought everyyything... there was barely anything left... And they say this country is in a crisis ppfffff -.- lol. Some of the pieces, like a necklace and a belt they cost about 99€, NINETY NINE EUROS! I'm hoping that they're pure gold... either that or at least that the colour doesn't come out with time.

Other than that... I got rid of some more clothes that I don't use and some other papers shenanigans... this is an ongoing process for me till like forever haha.

Hello everyone! Sooo Autumn/Fall has officially arrived hein? Should have kept my mouth shut on last week Musical Friday in where I talked about the fact that Autumn/Fall was starting and it was still hot. Well... that has changed. These rainy days I just feel like eating, like I shared with you on my last post.

Anyways this week I went to the Doctor and I'm gonna do some general check-ups exams plus I will have to do an X-Ray because of my right wrist,  it has been hurting me on and off since July and I have no idea what I have done in order for this to happen :S.

Other than that this week I gave away some clothing items that I no longer used to some of my mom's school classmates - Oh yeah my mom is in cooking school -, and since Portugal is suffering from some massive economic issues, and since I had clothes that no longer fit me or I simply didn't like them, why not give it to someone in need, right?

Plus since it's Friday, as always it's the day I do my house cleaning, vacuuming, mopping the floor, cleaning the dust bla bla bla and since I was in a tidy up mood I decided to attack a cupboard of mine and throw some bunch of paper away. It is amazing that no matter how much stuff I throw away... things never seem emptier haha -_-. Funny I found some oooooold agendas of mine and wow, I read some of them before putting the bag and came to the conclusion that my 6º grade plus early 7º grade in school, were awful! Surely don't miss that specific time in my life. Girls can be really mean -_-.

Sooooo today is the 21st of September and I guess Autumn/Fall if officially here... or not, depending in which country do you live in. Maybe in certain areas you can start feeling the cold wind and rainy days, here in the South of Portugal is still hot as hell! So I imagine that it must be hard for Fashion lovers that want to start wearing their new Autumn/Winter clothes when the weather is still warm.

Hello everyone, just a quick post today. This week nothing special happened but tomorrow it will hopefully be a fun day!

Tomorrow I'm going to a Bloggers gathering named "Lisbon Blinner" as the name suggests it will happened in Lisbon and there will be a picnic! There is going to be at least 50 Portuguese Bloggers over there and I'm very excited to meet them all!

Today I spent my day pampering/preparing myself for tomorrow, doing my nails, washing my hair and straighten it, ironing my clothes, and accessories, organizing my makeup that I'm going to use plus my bag, etc... since the meeting starts at 12pm and I kinda have to wake up early because of that (hopefully I won't over sleep -_-) so I need to leave most of my stuff prepared so that I don't forget anything.

Okay then I'm off to take care of the rest of my stuff and go to bed soon, enjoy the music!

Psy - Gangnam Style - You are gonna watch this and go like "WHAT THE F*** IS THIS KAREN?" I knoowwwwww, it's freaking AWESOME! It's the new phenomenon, see it has the new "Macarena". Psy the singer is Korean, and he's becoming a worldwide sensation. For the last 2 weeks I he was in the USA, on TV Shows and what not - he even appeared at the MTV VMA's 2012 for a bit - I guess promoting his single and teaching people how to dance :P.

Heeellooo everyone! So another week has passed by really fast? Holidays are over (for some) are you guys back to school, Uni or work?

Well I'm still at home, try to see what am I gonna do next in life, on the top of my list is RETURN TO LONDON A.S.A.P.! Ugh you guuyysss I miss London sooo much. And it's funny that it's a bit of a love/hate relationship, there things that I hate when living in the U.K. but then are things that absolutely lllooovveee about it >.<. Since my dream of living in the U.S.A.(New York / California) is a kinda-of-very-hard-dream-to-come-true-right-now, for me London is the best next thing!

Other than then this week I babysat my mother because she had eye surgery. I'm basically one week away from a Bloggers gathering aawww I'm so excited, this will be my third time that I participate in something likes this. Hopefully I'm gonna be able to meet some girl that I kinda know them in the Blogging World but I never saw them face to face, at least some of them.

I'm also impatiently wait for my first order from Pó de Arroz aaahhh I can't wait to have my little purchases! I'm thinking of doing an unboxing video once I receive the package, but I might be doing it in Portuguese for a change.

Oh and the MTV VMA's 2012, did anyone saw it? Long gone are the days that I used to stay up till like midnight when the show started and finished at 4AM and VIDEOTAPED, yeah you "heard me" videotaped. One day is gonna repeat on MTV I might go see it, or I might just find it on the internet.

Hello everyone! How are you?

Okay STOP! Can you believe that today is the last day of August? And that tomorrow it's the 1st of September? GOSH! Time freakin' flies!!!

Another week as passed, and today was kinda of a sentimental day for me. Today makes a year that I lost my boyfriend face to face.... yeah I'm in one of those long distance relationships, we do not live in the same country nor the same continent... crazy huh? I know... We stay in contact on a daily basis but still is freaking hard. Last year he came to Europe and at the time I was doing my internship in Prague and once he arrived to Prague a few days later we went on a road trip, we passed in Munich, Venice, Milan, Torino, Paris and Barcelona and it was wonderful - you can see some pictures above. I'm not gonna lie there was a lot of stressful moments... at least for me, I would freak out when things didn't go right but my boyfriend would always find a way to fix things. I have yet shared my journey with you guys... I should do that, would you like to see it? 

Okay then since nothing else spectacular happened this week I will stop here, and let you enjoy the music. :)

EN: Hello everyone! How was your week?

Mine… nothing special, other than last weekend I went to the beach with some mates and then at night we went to a Sushi restaurant huuuummm. I love Sushi.

UH and I finally saw the new Batman movie, it was pretty good! But still my favourite of the trilogy was the second one with Joker.

Another thing I would like to share with you guys is that my Blog is five years old now. I don’t know the day that I created it but when I had the old profile of Blogger it use to say August/2007. So Happy Birthday to my Blog! I've been thinking of changing my Blog layout and Banner huumm.

Greetings to my new followers, thank you for following my Blog, hope you have fun over here. Today I spent the day replying/paying a visit to Blogs because I had loads of pending comments. Aiaiai Karen and is still not over.

A minha… nada de especial, bem no fim-de-semana fui à praia, à Tróia, que agora é cara para dédeu! Fónix nunca pensei, well.. then again… tudo nesta terra está a aumentar. Fui à parai com os meus compadres e depois à noite fui comer Sushi hhuuuummm me gusta Sushi.

UH e finalmente fui ver o novo filme do Batman, eh foi fixe! Mesmo assim o meu favorito desta trilogia foi o segundo com o Joker.

Outra coisa que gostaria de partilhar convosco é que o meu Blog tem cinco anos agora. Eu não sei em que dia o criei mas quando ainda tinha o perfil antigo do Blogger costumava dizer Agosto/2007. Por isso Parabéns ao meu Blog! Tenho estado a pensar em mudar o layout e Banner do meu Blog huumm.

Saudações aos meus novos seguidores, muito obrigado por seguirem o meu Blog, espero que se divirtam por aqui. Hoje passei o dia a responder/a fazer visitas a Blogs porque tinha um monte de comments pendentes. Aiaiai Karen e ainda não acabou.

Musical Friday #62

Hello everyone! How was your week? For me it passed way to fast! 

This week I went to Lisbon to take care some stuff regarding the internship I did in London early this year, in the end I still need to do deliver some documents to my University, nothing bad, the only worrying thing is the fact that or 20% of the money of the scholarship will only arrive in January! If I had balls, they would have fallen right there, when the lady told me about this! I was counting with that money to help return to London like ASAP, now I don´t know what to do.... rsrsrsrsrs ´cause to get a job in Portugal is a fucking good luck case! -_-

Why didn't I just stayed in London! There was one boy that did an internship in Spain and he only came to Portugal for one day to deliver his papers and left the in the same day or the next day, because he managed to get a permanent job in Spain aaagggrrrhhhh!

Other than that, Why I have to spend money when I "don't have" money? Soon I will have to buy a new pair of glasses O_O this will be my 5th pair (in a space of like 12 years) and I've been looking for different type of frames than my current ones, 'cause I can't deal with them anymore so bloody fragile! I´ve been interested in the Nerd/Hipster glasses shape (like the picture above), I did find an interesting pair from the brand TOUS, the were like Lilac around the eye area and then the sides were in white. They were quite cute and the frame shape was nice for my face, my only fear is the colour, even though is lovely I have to wear glasses 24/7 and I don´t know (actually I do lol) if it will go with certain outfits of mine, do you get "my problem"?

Anyways today's videos are in the Rap/Hip Hop area, not everyone's taste most probably.

Musical Friday #61

 Hello everyone! So Musical Friday is BACK! YYEAAHHIII! :D

I haven´t been doing much, and days are flying by like crazy. Finally this week I went to the beach for the FIRST time. OMG! Even though I only went in the afternoon it was enough to get a little tanned at least. Jesus my legs where so white but now that's fixed.

Also this week I got together with my friend Akuma Kanji, she needed to buy some stuff and I went were her and took the opportunity to buy a tripod for my camera, I bought a small one but it was the best idea, I have no idea why it took me so long to buy one, it´s so handy, can´t wait to start making more videos. Speaking of which me and Akuma tried filming a video together but decided that we were going to re-shoot it hehe stay tuned :P.
