Musical Friday #109

EN: Hello Bananas!

Other then going to the beach again this week, which left me completely TIRED the next day, I also got my new I.D. card, the photo doesn't look that bad, it could have been better but I also had worse so it's o.k..

But the best thing of the week is that the process of evaluation - let's call that - of my (and others) report for the Leonardo Da Vinci program - a internship program  I did last year - IT'S FINALLY OVER! I can't believe this whole shenanigans took about a year and how much it delayed my life *ugh*. 

Now if hopefully nothing goes wrong in my life I will start planning my looonnggg waited return to London >.<.

Which is quite the controversy, some people have no problem with it because he does it in a "artistic" way and other don't like it.

Musical Friday #103

EN: Hello Bananas! I'm doing this post early than usual because I will take my computer to Computer Shop to get one of the fans cleaned. It's normally a task that I do myself to a certain extend but my fan now makes these annoying sounds which means that is time for some deep cleaning. I have to take care of it, it's almost 10 years old and if it "dies" we can't afford to buy a new computer right now :/. Specially with that bloody awful Windows 8. GOD! That things is horrible.

P.S.: I've made a few little changes on my Blog. I changed the font of the letters on the tabs, the colour for hiper-links, made some more click-cable banners on the right side, for my social net-works. I might do some other changes in the future ;).

EN: Hello Bananas! Not much to say. I'm at my aunt's house babysitting her grandson, not sure if I'll go back to my house on Saturday or Sunday.

Other than that two of the days that I dislike the most are gone, Carnaval (in Portugal) and Valentine's Days. Pfffff thank God that shiz is over...

Jay-Z - New Single - You must already have heard that J.T. was back in business, it's been like 6/7 years since his last album and the question on most Media people's mind is, "Will this be a smash hit comeback?". What do you guys think about the song and video? For me the song is growing in me, is like we Portuguese say "Primeiro estranha-se e depois come-se", it's kinda like "At first you're not sure about it and then you eat it". This song would be perfect for Barney of How I Met Your Mother, if you watch the series you know what I'm talking about :D SUIT UP!. I can't wait to listen to the rest of his album.

Musical Friday #70

 EN: Hello everyone there is not much to say about this week, so I will take this opportunity to give you a warning. As you know my Blog is affiliated to 3 shops - you can see them on the right side bar - Caxuxa, Pó de Arroz and The Original Skin. My problems and concerns lie on the shop Pó de Arroz. 

I've been partners with them for a few month and by the end of the August I decided to do my first purchase with them, I wanted to buy a bunch of stuff but I decided to just select 2 and see how things went... So I selected a bracelet and a ring, did the payment a few days later and they confirmed to me on the same day that they received the money. Okay, cool, fine. Now I know that with National orders we have to wait from 10 to 30 days, it has been 1 month and 2 weeks and still nothing...on my file it says "In process". I have tried to contact the shop now 3 times to get an answer in what is going on? Are they on vacation? Are they having problems with their personal lives? Are they waiting for the items? 

During this week I started noticing other girls complaining about the same situation on their Official Facebook Page. This is not good! Now like I said to another dear fellow Blogger of mine, I might not be the biggest Blogger out there but I don't have to subject myself to this, it's not like I'm earning any money with this, this is "bad publicity" for me and my Blog. And I don't want that. 

So from today I consider my partnership with Pó de Arroz suspended! And the Banner of the shop will be removed and it will continue like that till the day I can receive an answer from the shop in what the hell happened to the items that I payed for. 

I'm very sorry to any inconvenient that you might have had. If there is anyone that is having the same problem, please share there stories in the comment section below.

PT: Olá a todos, não há muito a dizer sobre a minha semana por isso decidi fazer-vos um aviso! Como devem saber o meu Blog está afiliado a três lojas - podem ver na barra da direita - Caxuxa, Pó de Arroz e The Original Skin. Os meus problemas e preocupações são sobre a loja Pó de Arroz.

A minha parceria com a loja já tem alguns mesinhos e no final de Agosto decidi fazer a minha primeira encomenda, eu até queria comprar uma data de coisas mas como eu nunca confio nestas cenas de compras online+correios, decide só escolher duas coisas, uma pulseira e um anel. Fiz o pagamento alguns dias depois e no mesmo dia confirmaram que receberam o pagamento. Okei, fixe, bacano. Agora eu sei que com as encomendas Nacionais devemos esperar entre 10 a 30 dias, já passou 1 mês e 2 semanas e ainda nada. Na minha ficha diz "Em processamento". Eu já tentei entrar em contacto com a loja 3 vezes para receber uma resposta do que se passa. Mas o pessoal está de férias? Problemas nas vidas pessoais? Será que estão à espera dos itens? 

Durante esta semana comecei a notar outras meninas a queixarem-se do mesmo problema na página Oficial do Facebook deles. Isto não é bom! Agora como eu disse a outra Blogger com quem já conversei sobre o assunto, eu posso não ser uma grande Blogger, mas não me vou rebaixar para manter uma parceria só porque sim, eu não ganho nada com isto e para além do mais isto é má publicidade para mim e para o Blog. E eu não quero isso. 

Por isso a partir de hoje a minha parceria com a loja Pó de Arroz ficará suspensa! E o Banner da loja será retirado e continuará assim até ao dia que me derem uma resposta o que é que aconteceu aos itens que eu paguei!

Peço imensas desculpas se tiveram algum inconveniente. Se houver mais alguém que tenham o mesmo problema por favor deixem um comentário em baixo.

Lana Del Rey - Ride - New Single - So Miss Del Rey a few months ago on UK Vogue magazine she says that she wouldn't be releasing any more albums, she doesn't know what else to write about, she already said all she needed to say... ssooooo what's this then? I smell a marketing expert! XD

Lana will release a new album, well sort of, it will includes the songs of the first album "Born to die" plus a few new songs including "Ride" and "Blue Velvet" among others. I really enjoy this song! OH P.S.: the video is freaking long.

Lana Del Rey naked on the cover of October's GQ U.K. magazine for the Special Issue of the 15th Annual Men of the Year! Like WOW.

The photoshoot was done in Monaco by Photographer Mariano Vivanco.

Lana was considered Woman of the Year by GQ. No wonder, the woman is everywhere! Besides having a great album, she's the face for Mulberry, Jaguar and H&M and she might be thinking in getting in more to writing and possibly become and actress?

If you are wondering who does that hand belong to (in the picture that a man is grabbing her boob) is GQ's Creative Director Paul Solomons (if I'm not mistaken on the Surname).

Lana for H&M and RiRi for River Island

Hello Everyone! The Ladies above need no introduction, but just in case you don´t know them - and if don´t... where have you been? - on the left is singer Lana Del Rey and on the right also singer and I guess sort of an actress Rihanna.

And soon this is what is going to happen... no they are not getting together and do a duet - not that I know of - but each of them are getting to together with a clothes brand. This Tuesday was announced that Lana Del Rey will be the new face of Swedish brand H&M for this year´s Fall campaign. Now I don´t know if she will be just the face or also has some input on the clothes design. But apparently on the 19th of September it will be released a video commercial with Lana singing a famous song "Blue Velvet", a request made by H&M.

Now as for Rihanna, this one opposite to Lana's announcement, I haven´t seen many people talking about it, maybe because River Island (a U.K. brand), even though is sold Internationally, with cool kinda expensive clothes, still is not has BIG has H&M. Anyways yeah, on Monday was announced that Rihanna will collaborate with River Island for 2013 Spring Collection. And apparently Rihanna was the one that approach River Island, read the news HERE. Now I wouldn't imagine Rihanna with River Island, I think that Rihanna would be a better match with TOPSHOP, but never the less I´m excited to see what is she going to do!

Musical Friday #57

Hello everyone! How was your week? Well mine nothing special, unpacking and what not and pure laziness! Today I went to the hairdresser to cut my hair, after 6 months :S without cutting it! Terrible I know! But I didn´t want to cut my hair in London ´cause I was afraid lol. There are loads of hairdressers everywhere but I didn´t know if I could trust them... and then the ones that probably would be good, are the ones that charge you £60 and upwards... so I waited and waited till I returned to Portugal.

So today the idea of doing a Blunt fringe came to my head, "Should I do it? Will I be able to deal with hair touching my forehead all the time? Will it look good on me?" Aaahhhh so many doubts! So I shared and old post of mine on my Facebook Page, that has a few pics of Blunt fringes and a friend of mine said that I should do it. And so I did.... ooohhh boy.... Holly S****!

On Thursday I booked an appointment with the hairdresser for 5pm on Friday. Today I arrived at 16:57 and what do I see? An old lady with something going on, on her hair and I guess she was in a middle of a pedicure and the hairdresser was just starting to was the hair of some girl that did some highlights -_-. I know it´s hard times in Portugal and the Lady works alone now... but still kinda sucked having to wait like almost half an hour for your turn, plus I wanted to meet up with a cousin at 6pm to give something for his mother... and because of this I ended up not being able to do it...

Anyways my turn comes, washed my hair and then the cutting comes ppppffff...  tend to be very picky when it comes for cutest and all of this because it doesn´t seemed that hairdressers don´t understand what I want....

- 3 fingers off max (BIG MISTAKE, should have said 1 and a half/2);

- On the back I want a U shape not a V shape;

- I don´t want to many layers on the back;

- There can be layers and the front;

- And a Blunt Fringe, mainly on the front of my head not too much to the sides;

Uuufffff, demanding the little Bitch me no? -_-

My hair was sooooo long, and even though now looking from the back it still looks long, when I pass it to the front it feels so short :(. The layers on the back are good and the U shape perfect.... then on the front the layers were very chop chop choooped, and the fringe DAMN IT! Is not exactly like I wanted and then when I got home and looked in the mirror I notices that is all crocked is not perfectly lined AAHHHH BLASPHEMY! Oh well, now I can´t wait for this thing to grow....

Tomorrow I have a Family Birthday Dinner and I still have to figure out what to dress... damn it why did I left most of my dresses and pretty shoes behind? -_-

Musical Friday #43

Nails of the day! You like?

Hey everyone! How was you week? Mine eehhhh not so bad, I managed to get my voice back but I'm still coffin every now and then. This week went by pretty fast for me... and I realized that is almost the end of March that I leaving London in June and that I haven't properly visited the city yet! >.< I've been here before so I know a few places but still there are loads of others to visit. Amazingly over here my weekends are always filled, Family gatherings, a night out, shopping spree XD. Gotta fix that!

Yesterday I had my third acting classes, this one was a bit hard for me, because one of our "exercises" was like to make eye contact with other people, AARRGGHHHH I'm terrible at that, I'm so shy and uncomfortable when it comes to eye contact! It comes from years of shyness and body/images complexes. I'm not so shy now and the way that I think and feel about my looks have changed I'm a bit more comfortable with it, but that bad habit of mine - the eye contact - stayed and it wasn't till yesterday that I realized that I'm still 100% cool with it. 

For this weekend I might see The Hunger Games movie, plus meet up with a friend of mine that pretty soon she is going to leave London and go back to Japan.

For this week of Musical Friday Post is all about female singers, it just naturally happened! I saw one video and I wanted to share, then the new Madonna and Katy Perry videos came out this week, plus I found another one and the last one was on my list to share already for a while, so I guess they go quite well together. Madonna - Girl Gone Wild - New Single - OMG where to start? Okei.. KAZAKYYYYY!!!! :p Yeah some of you that might been following my Blog since last year, I already did two posts about Kazaky, they are a Ukrainian male group, but they are not your ordinary boys band, coff coff, theeeyyy will wear high heels AND WORK IT GUUUURL! They are amazing dancers! Check them out! And why am I talking about them? Because they are in Madonna's video, I was able to recognize 3 of them. Another aspect about this videos is the that as soon as I seen it, I knew.... Lana Del Rey on the Cover of Vogue U.K. - March 2012

Lana Del Rey, considered one of the singers of the year, with so many fans months before her album "Born to die" started being sold this year. She is already full of controversy and sitting in the front rows in Fashion shows.

Lana Del Rey's real name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, born on the 21th of June of 1986, originally from New York. She is now 25 years old, but it seems that she already had a live time of full of good and bad experinces (based on the lyrics of her songs).

I already got my copy of this Vogue magazine and when I read that she might not release another album I was like "uuuuwwwhhaaaattt???". 

She describes her style has Gangster Nancy Sinatra - and I couldn't agree more -, also an interesting fact is that she stopped drinking seven years ago, meaning  she was like 17/18, WOW.

The controversy sorrounding Lana is either regarding her voluptous lips, that she did something to them, or that she is a fabricated singer full of layers behind her.

Either way, I don't care about those details, I'm loving her songs, her melancholic voice and her 50's/60's style!

So quick post, the bags are almost packed, but I might have to change a few things.... and right now I'm going crazy looking for my black pijamas... wtf? My house is not that big, how can they dissapear!?!? -_-

Since my flight is so early in the morning, I guess I'm gonna end up sleeping liiikkeeee 2/3 hours >.< no problem, I can sleep in the airplane, smooooooth.

Don't know when I will be able to post, but hopefully soon, I have so much stuff to Blog about.

Rihanna - You Da One - New Single

Musical Friday #26

It's Friday everyone, the end of another week. With all this time spent at home, all days seem the same for me.

So regarding me Laptop, I gave the green light in order to fix it, in the mean time I have the Hard Disk of my Laptop. I bought a case, the guy put the Hard Disk inside, and now I use it kinda like an external drive. The fixing of my laptop, will take about 2 weeks. He has to get some pieces for the Laptop, and then it has to stay in testing, to make sure, everything is working 100% and it doesn't puff as soon as it gets home lol. I'm so happy that my Hard Disk is intact, aaahhh crazy bananas!

In the mean time, regarding, where the hell will I go next year, so I guess Prague is off the plan and now is London Baby! Due to some misunderstanding between the Company and my University, only one girl from my University can do the internship, and in this case the other girl will go. The Company never called me to make an interview or whateva - even though they didn't need it because they already know me - ... I am both sad and happy. I'm sad that I won't be able to work again with my colleagues of the Company, and party with them, and be with my Shushu Plami all the time, but at the same time I'm existed to go to London off course. I'm just waiting to know if they will need me in January or only in March. It's exiting to hear a company say that they are interested in you. Now I just don't know if they are "just sayin'" 'cause in the way it will be free labour, they won't have to pay me, my University is the one that give us the scholarship, or they are actually excited for me to come on over. Either way is good to hear positive feedback, don't you think?

For now I'm working with my Windows XP Professional from the year 2003 desktop computer.. oh Dear Lord! It's soooo slow, I have no idea what the fudge it's the problem. I used to be able to play games -like The Sims - and listen to music and have other things one, now, if I have two internet pages open, rsrsrsrsrsrs. Even to write this post is a nightmare, it's like I will write 2 sentences, and the guy is still stuck on the first 3 words....

Anyways on to the music.
