Mally - Uptown Chic

EN: Hello everyone. First of all yes I am back from my vacation, I've been back now for about almost two weeks. Those of you that might follow me on Instagram or Snapchat might have seen a bit of my journey other than that I will eventually do a blog post about it, I just don't know if I do it all in one go or separate it.

Okay let's jump into the actual post which is about Mally Beauty Makeup. From what I gathered Mally Roncal is actually a Make-Up Artist. She was initially a pre-med student and then changed to fine-arts and then went from working for a Fashion designer to become a freelance Makeup Artist with clients like Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé until she created her own makeup line Mally in 2005.

The products that I've have were a Christmas gift that my cousin gave me. It contains a Face Defender Boost which I still don't understand what it is, a Strobe Cream basically a highlighter, a Waterproof Eyeliner, Volumizing Mascara, Shadow Stick and a Lipstick.

Maybelline - Color Drama, Instense Velvet Lip Pencil

EN: Most probably you already heard about the Maybelline Color Drama, Instense Velvet Lip Pencil - uuufff that's a long name - I bought mine one a long time ago but I forgot to blog about them.

I think that overall they are a great product, easy to apply, very pigmented, they don't over dry my lips (specially if I pass a lip balm first), good staying power and even after fading they leave a tint on your lips.

Not much to say really, I have four, I either used them on their own or sometimes under lipsticks. They are reasonably affordable and at least in the U.K. you always have promotions, either 3 for 2 or buy one second one half price. Oh and just in case you are looking for pencils, Maybelline is starting to change the packing of the product.

PT: Provavelmente muitos de vocês já ouviram falar da Maybelline Color Drama, Instense Velvet Lip Pencil - uuufff nossa que nome tão longo - eu comprei os meus já faz algum tempo mas esqueci-me de escrever um Blog post sobre eles.

Eu penso que no general  são um óptimo produto, fácil de aplicar, boa pigmentação, não secam os meus lábios (especialmente se passarem um lip balm antes), dura um bom tempo e mesmo quando começa a desaparecer deixam uma cor ligeira nos lábios.

Não há muito mais para dizer, eu tenho quatro, às vezes usos sozinhos ou por baixo de um outro batons. Eles são razoavelmente baratos e pelo menos aqui no Reino Unito temos sempre ofertas como 3 compre pague 2 ou compre 1 e pague metade no segundo produto. Ah e só pró caso de andarem à procura destes lápis a Maybelline anda a mudar a embalagem.

Makeup Sponges Fail

EN: About a month ago I went to my local Poundland store (in case you are not from the U.K. is basically one of those store that sell everything for a One Pound, £1) and I saw that they had some makeup sponges. Now I was just going to buy one to try out but my boyfriend begged me to buy another two to try them out and so I did.

BOY what a fail, the concept looked interesting a sponge with a handle but these ones are literally a waste of money.

PT: À cerca de um mês eu fui a uma loja que existe aqui no Reino Unido chamada Poundland (é um género de loja dos Trezentos mas neste caso tudo a Uma Libra, £1) e vi que eles tinham umas esponjas para maquilhagem. Eu ia só comprar uma mas o meu namorado pediu-me para comprar mais duas para testar a qualidade e assim o fiz.

BEM mas que desperdício de dinheiro (apesar de que não foi nenhuma fortuna), a ideia até era interessante, uma esponja com cabo mas enfim.

Sephora Lip Products

 

EN: Last Summer I saw some girls on Youtube raving about these Sephora Lip products, so when I went on holidays to Portugal last year, as soon as I land it in Lisbon, on my way to my parents place I passed by the Sephora shop in the Vasco da Gama shopping mall.

In general I always gravitate to to reds and wine red, plummy colours because I think that's is what suits me best, I have yet to find a good pinky or nude colour that suits me.

Colour Eye Pencils

EN: I may not have the biggest eyeshadow palette collection but even with what I´ve got sometimes I feel super lazy to do any eye-makeup-look so the next best thing is colour eye pencils. Just a simple winged eyeliner and I'm done. So are where are some of mine eye pencils.

PT: Posso não ter a maior colecção de paletas de sombras para os olhos mas mesmo assim com o que tenho às vezes sou super preguiçosa para fazer uma maquilhagem de olhos mais elaborada então a melhora coisa a seguir são os lápis para os olhos coloridos. Um simples winged eyeliner e estou pronta. Aqui ficam alguns dos meus lápis para os olhos.

3 Topshop Eyeshadows

PT: À alguns meses atrás passei pela Topshop na época de saldos e é normalmente quando eu compro qualquer cosinha por lá. Eu decedi explorar um pouco a maquilhagem e acbei por comprar um verniz (que eventualmente irei fazer um post) e três sombras para os olhos.

No que toca a maquilhagem, a Topshop não está necessariamente no topo da minha lista mas existem algumas coisas boazitas.

EN: A few months ago there was a sale at Topshop and normally that´s when I buy something there. I decided to explorer the Makeup stand a bit, so I ended up buy one nude nailpolish (that eventually I will blog about it) and three eyeshadows.

Now when it comes to makeup, Topshop is not necessarly on the top of my list but there a few nice things.

The Body Shop - Colour Crush Lipsticks

EN: I own two of the The Body Shop Colour Crush lipsticks, one in  the shade 125 which is a medium red and 335 in a dark/old rose colour overall they have a good pigmentation, they are creamy when you apply them and they have a bit of a sheen (I wish TBS would create some matte lipsticks), if you don't eat or drink the lipsticks might last for a while but if you do those things they are going to smudge off , so I would suggest wearing a lip pencil first in order to help your lipstick last longer.

M.A.C. - Midi-Mauve and Spice

EN: My M.A.C. collection is slowly growing, it will probably never be as big as other girls but I'm fine with that, I don't like to stick just to one brand, there is plenty of other brands that I want to explorer, I like to mix things up.

Last year after I bought my first M.A.C. lipstick and lip pencil, a few months later I bought another lipstick named Midi-Mauve with a lustre finish and a lip pencil in Spice.

When I went to the store I asked again for some help from one of the Sales Assistants in order to find a nice subtle nude colour so I could use when I wear darker eyeshadows.

Like last time I bought also the lip pencil in order to help the lipstick last longer because this lipstick  also has a Lustre finish so it has a very creamy formula and it's very easy to apply but the pencil that I end up buying (with the lady recommendation) makes the lipstick look more browner, so most of the times I just wear the lipstick on its own.

Early Birthday Gift - M.A.C. - Part 2

EN: A couple of weeks ago I showed you a picture of a M.A.C. bag, which was my early birthday gift from me to myself. So this is what I bought, a M.A.C. lipstick in "Spice It Up!" with a Lustre finish and a lip pencil in "Mahogany".

Back in 2009 I went for the first time to a M.A.C. in Portugal and the man who worked there ended up doing my makeup for free and he gave me some free samples. One of them being a lipstick which was my favourite colour ever. Somehow during the Christmas of 2009, travelling from London to Portugal and vice-versa I lost it :( and I had no idea the name of it I could only remember the colour but since M.A.C. stuff is expensive I've been on a hunt for years for something similar. I did find something close I suppose from Sleek Makeup a Pout Paint but after you apply it it dries and it fades pretty quickly.

Anyways, one day after work I went to M.A.C. and I asked the girl that work there for help to find a nice cherry colour that I could easily wear it everyday. She first applied one that was a bit too dark - that I might buy it later on - but then she applied the Spice It Up and OMG I kid you not the smile on my face of like "I FINALLY FOUND YOU!".

So I ended up buying the lipstick and the lip pencil. I will wear the lipstick on it's own most days but if I need a bit more definition or to make it a bit darker I will use the lip pencil. And so my M.A.C. obsession as begun haha.

Early Birthday Gift - M.A.C.

Today I decided to treat myself (like I don't do that enough these days lol) and I went to M.A.C..

There is a M.A.C. store right in front of my job and I decided to buy myself an early Birthday gift from me to myself. Whenever I go to a M.A.C. store I always feel intimidated and never buy anything because it also annoys me the fact that the products don't have the price so I would have to ask all the time about it but the lady that served me was so nice and patience and I end up buy two things. Do you want to see them?

Getting ready for Spring - Blushes

EN: Hello Everyone!

As you know Spring is arriving and we definitely felt that here in London as well with surprisingly warm sunny days.

Now with a new season arriving I felt like buying some more makeup, like I need anymore makeup in my life. In my makeup collection what I have the most is eyeshadows and lipstick/lipglosses and I noticed that I lack a bit on the blush department. Up until now I had 4 blushes with me, one dark plummy red from Sleek MakeUp in "Fenberry 749", one from Yves Saint Laurent (that I've started to touch the pan :/) in "Fard à Joues 11" (I think), one from Elizabeth Arden in "Terrarose 03" and then during Christmas a family member gave me some makeup from Laura Geller and it came with a medium shimmery pink blush "Spiced Chai". Overall they are blushes more appropriate for Autumn/Winter, maybe with the exception of the YSL one that I use it all year round. So I felt like I needed lighter blush colours for Spring and Summer.

These last few days Boots was doing 3 for 2 offers, so I bought one blushes there, the Seventeen Cheek Stamp blush in "The Cheek Of It" and in two separate occasions I bought two blushes  in Superdrug one was the M.U.A. in "Bubble Gum" and the other one Rimmel London in "020 Pink Rose".

Now that I've taken pictures of the products untouched, I can't wait to use them.

EN: Hello Bananas! In case you don't know I'm a Youtube junkie, meaning that I watch a lot of Youtube videos. Among the hundreds (YES hundreds) of channels that I'm subscribed to, one of them belongs to Makeup Artist Lisa Eldridge.

She recently did some very interesting videos about foundations, giving us tips/advices in how to buy foundation, the best foundation for people with Combination to Oily skins and Dry skins, how to pick the right shade for you etc. So I decided to share all those videos with you and hopefully it will help some of you.

When I started to use makeup, foundation (along with blush) was the thing that I feared the most to use and use it incorrectly. I do admit and I know that I'm not alone on this one, I learned A LOT about make up thanks to Youtube videos and Blogs.

My Makeup Storage & Collection Part 1

EN: Hello everyone! How was your weekend?

You may or may not know but I have a Youtube channel - Nerak86 - for quite a while now and slowly I'm trying to upload videos on it. Last week I uploaded a new video, this one regarding my Makeup storage and collection (while I'm in Portugal). The video ended up being super long so I decided to divide in 4 parts, basically each video will be dedicated to one drawer.

My makeup storage is nothing fancy and amazing. I actually bought it when I was doing Erasmus in Nottingham 2009/10 and when I returned to Portugal June 2010 I brought it back with me, well actually I sent it by post in a box with other things of mine. It cost me about 6£ and is very helpful. Of course my wish now is to buy one of those acrylic ones from like Muji, check it out here, isn't it lovely?

Alguns de vocês deve saber e outros não mas eu tenho um canal no Youtube - Nerak86 - já faz tempos e lentamente ando a fazer upload de vídeos. Na semana passada fiz um upload de um novo vídeo, é sobre a minha colecção e como arrumo a minha maquilhagem (enquanto estou em Portugal). Este vídeo acabou por ficar longo, então eu decidi dividi-lo em 4 partes, basicamente cada video será dedicado a uma gaveta.

A minha "gaveteira" não tem nada de charmoso ou espectacular. Comprei quando estava a fazer Erasmus em 2009/2010 em Nottingham e quando voltei para Portugal trouxe comigo, bem na verdade mandei por correio numa caixa com outras coisas minhas. Foi cerca de 6 Libras e ajudou-me muito. É claro que o meu desejo agora é comprar uma da MUJI feito de material acrílico, podem ver aqui, não são lindos?

New: Garnier BB Cream for Combination and Oily Skins

EN: Hello everyone! I´ve been kinda absent again because as you may know I returned to Portugal, the first few days I was in unpacking mode and then lazy mode... this heat makes me sooo freakin´ lazy and sleepy. I can´t wait to be able to go to the beach and get some decent colour on my skin. I never been a big fan of tanning, ´cause if you seen my pictures.. I´m mixed raced... but lately every time I come back from the U.K. or Prague (a.k.a. very cold countries with crazy weather) I just wanna get tanned... 

Anyywwaayyys today´s post is not about tanning it´s about the new BB Cream from Garnier for Combination to Oily skins. First of all I haven´t tried the product YET! I bought it last week before I left the U.K..

PT: Olá a todos! Tenho andando desaparecida outra vez, isto porque como sabem já regressei a Portugal, os primeiros dias foram passados a modo "desfazer as malas" e depois entrei no modo preguiça... este calor dá-me da preguiça grossa e SONO! Mal posso esperar para ir à praia e ganhar um pouco de cor na minha pele. Eu nunca foi grande fã de bronzear, se já algumas vez viram as minhas fotos... eu tenho mestiça/mulata... mas ultimamente sempre que volto do Reino Unido ou de Praga (a.k.a. terras frias com um tempo maluco) Eu só quero é me bronzear...

De qualquer das formas o post de hoje não é sobre bronzear mas sim sobre o novo BB Cream da Garnier para peles Mistas e Oleosas. Primeiro que tudo eu ainda não experimentei este produto. Eu comprei-o na semana passada antes de sair do R.U..

The Body Shop Haul #1

I was going to do yesterday as soon as I got home after shopping, but then I was soooo tired by the end of the day I couldn't keep my eyes open. Anyways, NOTE that not all of these items were bought all together, some I got them as a magazine freebie. Onto the presentation.

Eu era suposto ter feito ontem assim que cheguei a casa depois das compras mas estava tãããooo cansada no final do dia que nem conseguia manter os olhos abertos. Anyways, NOTA eu não comprei isto tudo de uma queijadada, aliás algumas das coisas vieram com revistas como oferta. Bora lá para a apresentação.
